Jean-François Ravenelle is the "visionary" behind Ski & Bike Magazine, he's also the Founder, President, and Publisher of this silly little endeavor that some of us call a labor of love.
For the past thirty years, JF has been testing skis obsessively all over North America from Alaska to Taos New Mexico and everywhere in between. He has been a professional bootfitter since the 90's and has an opinion (valid or not) about just about everything ski and bike.
JF has worked in the ski and bike industry since his teens in virtually all roles imaginable: From Ski Racer, Ski Instructor, Coach, Liftie, Snowmaker, Patroller, Ski Resort Manager, Marketing Director, Consultant, Assistant Ski School Director, Event Manager, Ski Bum, Bootfitter, Ski Shop Employee, General Manager, Ski and Bike Shop Owner, Emergency Bike Mechanic, Bike Assembler, Ski buyer, Bike Buyer, Clothing buyer, Ski Tester, Bike Tester, Guide, Ski Magazine Writer and Editor in Chief, Floor Sweeper, Parking Lot Shoveller, Corporate Trainer and a few dozen more industry jobs he's likely forgotten about including being the Central Canada representative for the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) for a dozen years... A veteran of annual ski and bike trade shows (when there used to be such things as Interbike and SIA), JF is truly a child of the ski and bike industry.
A kid at heart with a deep desire to share his love of skiing and biking with others. JF is a retail and ski & bike industry consultant while running the website that you're currently reading.
